[TU] is a selective community with a family like atmosphere. We recruit mature, personable, responsible, easy-going individuals from our citizen membership level to join the admin levels of [TU].
The First Step - Become a Citizen of TU: To become a Citizen you will need to Create a forum account and join us on the [TU] server for a minimum of 20 hours of game play (you can find your hours of game play on your personal HLstatsX stat page by following the HLstatsX link above).
After completing these requirements an applicant must then apply to become a citizen of our community by completing the steps outlined below. The citizen level of membership is designed to identify our "regulars" of the community and it is only from this group that further membership levels can be achieved. At the citizen level you will receive the ability to join our Ventrilo speak server and begin posting on server issues and concerns in a private «TU.c» forum. Furthermore, your voice as a citizen is one we take very seriously because you have proven to be a gamer that has spent a good deal of time with us on the server.
Once an application for citizenship is submitted, a review of the applicant's minimum requirements (active forum account and 20 hours) will occur. When a candidate fulfills these requirements, a forum announcement will be posted informing the community that the applicant has achieved citizen status. At that time the candidate may begin to proudly wear the «TU.c» tag at the end of their name.
How does a citizen move up within the Legion?
Although it may sound elementary, the reality is that a citizen's promotion to higher levels within [TU] is tied strongly to the activity and familiarity they have with existing TU members on the CS:S server, our vent server, and our forums. Getting to know the Legion is extremely important because our family atmosphere is, in our opinion, our most important characteristic. A new member into [TU] will be someone who is not new at all to both the game server, the vent server, and the existing TU members. So start shooting us and come talk with us.
Once you become a citizen within the TU community, [TU] will selectively recruit citizens to advance into full fledged membership roles. This recruitment process occurs based on the merits of the individual from community activity and need from within the Legion. [TU] will send pm invitations to citizens of merit when the Legion members feel comfortable with promoting a citizen to the next level of membership.
How does "trainee" status work?
The "trainee membership" or "principe admin" period is the second of three levels of membership within the Legion. This level of membership is by invitation only. [TU] will selectively recruit mature and responsible Citizens to join the admin level of the Legion. During this time, TU hopes to become even more familiar with the applicant both as a person and as a representative admin on [TU]. Trainee members will be granted minimum admin abilities to help run the server and are expected to proudly wear the [TU.p] Legion tag in front of their names. In addition, they will become familiarized with the Legion and trained with regards to Legion responsibilities. After a period of time, the ENTIRE [TU] membership will discuss and vote on promotions of "principe admins" to full [TU] status.
What do we expect from our trainee members?
Personality is much more important than skill in [TU]. While we appreciate talented shooters on our servers, playing it with people that don't mesh well together isn't very fun. As long as you're a decent player, your personality and maturity will ultimately dictate whether you get in.
